I found this solution when I try to renew the url of our school printer. FYI this tip also works in Ubuntu 11.04 but really not needed since you can change the url address easily from the printer properties. I thought everything is supposed to be easier on the MAC. I have been so frustrated with such a simple task to change a printer IP address. I have no idea what “cups” is, but you have to wonder why they don’t let you simply change settings through the Print & Fax interface.
